The project design takes Quzhou’s vision as a garden city and the site’s undulating topography as its starting point, adhering to the guiding principle of “respecting nature and reinventing the ancient.” Through a carefully orchestrated elevation strategy and innovative facade design, it creates a distinctive mountain community.
First, the intricate and meticulous vertical design ensures both minimization of cut-and-fill volumes and appropriate management of elevation differences in the surrounding area.
Second, the courtyard façade design in the New Chinese style seamlessly blends the lightness and ethereal quality of traditional Chinese architecture with the transparency and openness of modern architecture.
