Hangzhou Haichao Elegant Garden

The project site is located on Zhi Street in Wangjiangmen, one of Hangzhou’s most historically significant old neighborhoods. The target resettlement population is clearly defined, with distinct characteristics and specific needs; the household structure is predominantly three- With four generations living under one roof as the norm, the need for communal spaces and opportunities for neighborhood interaction is particularly pronounced. In addition to enclosed, flexible courtyards and ample outdoor activity areas, the ground floor features a series of open-air activity zones of varying scales and diverse functions. The façade design adopts a restrained, classical French style: clean moldings, elegant lines, paired with large expanses of floor-to-ceiling glass windows and glass balustrades. The overall facade composition employs a series of robust visual frames to frame and integrate the diverse aspects of daily life.
