The project’s conceptual design for the interior landscape and architecture was led by Nei Architecture, while GLA undertook the detailed refinement of the scheme and the preparation of construction drawings. Our teams worked in close collaboration, ensuring that design, detailing, and construction progressed in parallel. The building’s exterior is clean and crisp, echoing the Song-style architectural ethos of eschewing ostentation in favor of understated authenticity. The color palette is composed of muted, refined tones—primarily gray and wood—evoking the delicate, ethereal quality of ink-and-wash washes in Song paintings and embodying the restrained, subtle aesthetic characteristic of Song-style design. By cultivating such a minimalist, introverted form within today’s bustling urban environment, we have created a spatial realm that invites the soul to settle and return to tranquility.
