Chengdu Runbaihe

The project is divided into two parcels by the Shuixiu River, which runs straight through the site. Taking Chengdu’s “Park City” initiative as an opportunity, the design ingeniously leverages the river’s ecological resources to transform it into a central ecological axis that connects the northern and southern parcels: a waterfront green corridor serves as the ecological backbone, while a pedestrian and cycling network acts as the spatial link, seamlessly integrating the two halves of the site and creating a planning configuration that balances residential density with full urban openness. This approach has set a new benchmark for Chengdu’s Park City vision.
