Xi’an Jiangyu Yunting TOD

The project is located in the core area of the Weihe River District within the Xi’an Economic and Technological Development Zone, at the Caotan Vehicle Depot on Metro Line 4—a large-scale TOD development built atop a metro station. It is directly adjacent to the Weihénan Station entrance of Metro Line 14, with the Weihe River, the Weihe River Ecological Corridor, Xi’an Lake, and several other natural and cultural attractions to the north. The site falls within the city’s integrated innovation-and-culture development corridor and serves as the core zone for the Weihe River cultural industry. With its substantial scale and diverse, multifaceted mix of uses, the project resembles a comprehensive “miniature city.” Adhering to both urban development principles and site-specific logic, the master plan arranges the high-rise zones in a north–south linear sequence while organizing the low-rise areas into multi-level clusters, with lower elevations to the south and higher elevations to the north. Aboveground, the development comprises residential units; belowground, it features supporting commercial spaces; and a kindergarten is included in the ground-level podium, reimagining the possibilities of urban living. The architectural style is modern.
