The project is located near Shanglin Road in Xi’an’s Weiyang District, with the Wei River to the north, and enjoys access to extensive ecological and landscape resources, including “one river, two lakes, and three parks.” Rooted in academy culture, Liu’an Xiaofeng adopts a master plan centered on “one axis, one ring, two courtyards, and eight gardens,” featuring well-defined axial relationships and a clear spatial sequence that combines linear and clustered elements to avoid a homogeneous layout.
Under constrained budgetary limits, the project’s façade draws overarching inspiration from the minimalist SuperFlat aesthetic, employing a public-building–style design approach. The seamless integration of full-height, ultra-flat coatings with curtain-wall glazing creates an exceptionally high window-to-wall ratio, redefining contemporary architectural aesthetics. As the spring breeze sweeps across the lake bay and flowers and plants shake off the weariness of the seasons, the building’s expansive glass surfaces gleam in varying hues under the sunlight. This strikingly large window-to-wall ratio imbues the façade with profound aesthetic resonance and enriches the lived experience. By harmoniously blending architecture with ecology, the project has crafted the most beautiful skyline along the banks of the Wei River.
