Event
2010
On July 23, the company was officially established, with its headquarters located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. From its inception, GLA has focused on the design and implementation of high-quality, low-density architecture, striving to define the boundaries of livable urban spaces amid China’s rapid urbanization. Its first office location was “Green Garden.”
2012
On September 5, the company secured its first winning bid: the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. As a public building for a higher education institution, this project not only marks GLA’s expansion into new business areas but also signifies the initial market recognition of the company’s professional capabilities.
2013
The first completed project was Mandu Garden. Designed in a French style, it evokes the idyllic lifestyle of lakeside villas and has become one of the classic examples of lakeside residential architecture. The project garnered widespread attention within the industry and laid the foundation for GLA’s design philosophy of “refined, poetic, and warmly human” residential living.
2015
In March, the collaborative working mechanism was fully launched to promote the professional and systematic development of the design process and strengthen end-to-end project management from concept to implementation.
2015
On July 2, the company celebrated its fifth anniversary by hosting its inaugural portfolio exhibition. By systematically organizing and showcasing representative projects from the past five years, the exhibition clearly articulated GLA’s design vision and core values.
2016
In June, the company relocated to Office Space at No. 1 Shangning Lane. Taking the renovation of an old building as an opportunity, the space seamlessly integrates design, daily living, and work, serving as a testament to the firm’s approach to spatial practice.
2018
In May, the company relocated to its current address at the Qianjiang Zhejiang Merchants Venture Capital Center, upgrading its office environment, expanding its team, and entering a more mature stage of development.
2020
In August, GLA celebrated its 10th anniversary. In collaboration with WA World Architecture, the firm published a decade-long portfolio, reflecting on and summarizing its design experience and practical achievements over the past ten years.
2023
The company’s integrated EPC management model has been preliminarily implemented, with the Anji Lingxi Science and Innovation Center project officially commencing. This project marks a further expansion of GLA’s end-to-end project coordination capabilities, ushering in a new phase of design-build integration.
2025
To mark the company’s 15th anniversary, a series of events is being launched.
